Computer Support

Software and hardware support is provided by the Information Technology Department for devices with an inventory number used by academic and administrative staff. If you encounter any issues with your device, you must submit your request through the Work Request System via istakip.bogazici.edu.tr.

After submitting your request to the system, you will receive a notification email informing you that your request has been processed. Once the process is completed, another email will be sent indicating that your request has been resolved. For software and hardware requests, you will be contacted by phone according to your request order, or support staff will visit your location to diagnose the issue. If the issue cannot be resolved on-site, you will be asked to send your device to the Boğaziçi University Information Technology Department. In this case:

What to do when your device is requested to be sent to the Information Technology Department:

  • Back up all data on your computer.
  • Attach a note to your device indicating the Work Request Number and the relevant support staff member.
  • Send installation CDs and passwords for the computer or printer together with the device.

What should I do if my device is under warranty?
If your device has a hardware failure and is still under warranty, please contact the vendor from whom the device was purchased for repair services.
