In order to enable access to web services offered on academic networks worldwide through the SSO (Single Sign-On) method, an infrastructure called eduGAIN (https://edugain.org/) has been developed and has been operating as a production service since 2011. eduGAIN is a federation of federations established and operated by the European Academic Network, GÉANT, bringing together identity federations of education and research institutions worldwide. eduGAIN has approximately 80 members globally and connects more than 9,000 identity and service providers (https://technical.edugain.org).

As a member of eduGAIN, YETKİM (https://yetkim.org.tr/teknik/) is an Identity Federation that provides services exclusively to higher education and research institutions in Türkiye. The federation is operated by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM. YETKİM provides authentication and authorization infrastructure using the SSO method for web-based resources.

Our University operates an Institutional Identity Provider that is a member of the YETKİM network and, consequently, of eduGAIN. Through this identity provider, you can access web resources included in the YETKİM and eduGAIN infrastructures using your university digital identity.

This Institutional Identity Provider functions similarly to identity services such as Google, Facebook, and Apple. By using your digital identity registered on our Institutional Identity Provider, you can access numerous services (IEEEXplore, ProQuest, Springer, ScienceDirect, Web of Science, Web of Know, Taylor & Francis, Elsevier, ACM Digital Library, WileyOnlineLibrary, EmeraldInsight, EBSCOhost, Oxford Journals, Nature, InAcademia, Annual Reviews, American Chemical Society, ...).

Your digital identity on the University Identity Provider is defined as follows:

• Username: Boğaziçi University Email Username (e.g., if the email address is "yetkim.test@bogazici.edu.tr", the username should be "yetkim.test")
• Password: Boğaziçi University Email Password
