Hardware Support Branch Directorate

The Hardware Support Branch Directorate is responsible for ensuring the effective, secure, and uninterrupted operation of hardware, software, and related systems used in the academic and administrative units of our university. Within this scope, its duties and responsibilities are listed below:

  • Performing hardware upgrades, troubleshooting malfunctions, and carrying out software updates for computers and peripheral devices used jointly by academic and administrative staff and students.
  • Referring devices under warranty to the relevant companies and monitoring repair processes.
  • Conducting technical evaluations and preparing reports regarding the disposal eligibility of hardware that has reached the end of its service life.
  • Preparing technical specifications for the procurement of computers, printers, scanners, and similar hardware and software.
  • Carrying out inspection, acceptance, and distribution procedures for procured hardware and materials.
  • Providing training and technical support services to academic and administrative staff when required.
  • Ensuring the installation, maintenance, and management of computers in student laboratories.
  • Installing card reader or QR code systems at campus access points and performing maintenance and repair of these systems.
  • Ensuring the preparation and delivery of personnel, student, and alumni identification cards.
  • Providing technical support for closed-circuit camera systems and projection devices.
  • Ensuring the proper operation of licensed software used within the university and maintaining the currency of license servers.
  • Providing secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) access for academic and administrative staff who need to work remotely.
  • Performing other duties assigned within the framework of applicable legislation and relevant directives.
