Communication Systems Branch Directorate
Duties and Responsibilities
The Communication Systems Branch Directorate is the technical unit responsible for establishing, managing, and maintaining the university’s communication infrastructure. It carries out critical duties such as communication systems management, switchboard administration, GSM infrastructure processes, and inter-campus communication coordination.
Communication Systems
To carry out or have carried out the installation, relocation, maintenance, and repair of communication systems and devices.
GSM & Infrastructure Operations
To manage allocation and installation processes with GSM operators and infrastructure service providers.
Switchboard Management
To update central switchboard authorizations and features and ensure system continuity.
Inter-Campus Coordination
To ensure coordination between the central switchboard and local switchboards across different campuses.
Telephone Password Management
To monitor telephone call passwords and update them when necessary.
Materials & Requirements
To identify communication system material requirements of units and manage procurement processes.
Cooperation & Coordination
To cooperate with relevant units and external service providers for tasks that cannot be carried out within the Directorate.
Other Duties
To perform other duties assigned within the framework of applicable legislation and directives.
